Family Beaches
Copacabana Beach (Babin Kuk)
Shallow entry, showers, umbrellas, kids' inflatables — the easiest beach with small children.
Lapad Bay
Sandy-pebble mix, calm water, lined with cafés and restaurants.
Sunj (Lopud Island)
Actual sand and warm shallow water. 45-min ferry from Gruž — worth the trip.
Hidden Beaches
Betina Cave Beach
Reachable only by kayak or boat — small pebble beach in front of a sea cave, west of the Old Town.
Pasjača Beach (Konavle)
Under a 200 m cliff, reached by a steep staircase. Wild and cinematic.
Uvala Lapad rocks (past the promenade)
Skip the main bay — the rocks at the far end are quieter and clearer.

The postcard beach right below the Old Town walls. Sunbeds, cocktails, DJ.
Coral Beach Club (Babin Kuk)
Cliffside sunbeds, food, and a proper swimming pier.
Cave Bar More
Drinks in an actual cave, right on the beach in Lapad. Unique.
Snorkelling Locations
Lokrum Island (east side)
Clear water, fish, and the famous Dead Sea saltwater lake next door.
Šunj → Šipanska Luka coves
Elaphiti waters are calmer and clearer than the mainland.
Cape Petka (Lapad peninsula)
Rocky shore, deep clear water — bring reef shoes.
Sunset Beaches
Danče Beach
Small rocky beach on the west side of the Old Town. Sunset over Lovrijenac fortress.
Cape Petka
West-facing cliffs, honest local sunset spot — bring a bottle of wine.
Buža Bar (technically not a beach)
Bar carved into the sea-facing city walls. Sunset drinks over the Adriatic — arrive by 18:00 in summer.
